Zedd's BCL Season 4 Pre-draft Analysis
|
Things to learn from last season:
1. Bench is important. In the entire history of the BCL there has been ONE team that hasn't had to play their bench player in a game. 85% of those teams lost that game. Make sure you draft a real (not Kraegin) backup player.
2. Reliability is the most important. It doesn't matter how stacked your team is if they don't show up for games. We've seen this every single season. There is always a team that has a key player miss a week and it ends their season. I'm going to use amillionbabies as an example here. He was a player that I prioritized somewhat highly in the last draft. Going in I took a risk because I knew that his attendance was somewhat unreliable. Things worked out well until week three when he couldn't make the game and our team got destroyed.

The Returning Heroes
Master Splinter5 – I'm not even going to bother with analysis. He's diamond, draft him.
Im Just Dan – You may know him ask ViktorYi or Slender Dan. No matter how many times he changes his name the analysis will never change. Remember last season when I told you he was unreliable? Remember when you drafted him anyway Troy? Guess how that worked out. He literally quit the BCL right after the draft. So yeah.
Kraegin – Where should I start with him? He played 2 games last season and not only did he feed, but he went full on tilt. Someone's going to have to pick him up late, so stick him bot if you have to. If you really want to pick him up keep in mind that he will probably go for free.
Dansonlygirl – The only bench player who has never had to play a game, so we haven't seen what he can do yet. I foresee him as a bench player again this season, but who really knows for sure.
Kking – One of your best options in bot lane once again. Expect him to make plays and get shit done.
OnTheWind – I think don't think I've seen him win a lane yet. He was drafted as a bench player and had to play every game because one of his teammates dropped out. His team went on to lose every single game. Do the math.
TheXmasTree – Support has a bit more competition this time around, but Tree is still going to be a great pickup at any point in the draft. His competition may have a higher solo queue rating, but Tree still has the most support experience in a tournament setting.
Thirty – Drafting Thirty is going to be interesting. He is currently a support main, but with the constant shortage of BCL junglers I would expect that to be where he ends up. He's no Master Splinter, but he is going to be a playmaker and shot caller no matter what role he ends up in.
Cruzmaster – Cruz is somewhat behind the other support options this time around. But, with two of them having a lot of potential at other roles Cruz is still going to be a highly valued pickup for support.
Salvo – Where the hell would you draft Salvo. He just hit plat playing mostly support, but he is going to be a great player at any role other than jungle.
Think2wice – Suspiciously absent from Wang's Drunken Power Rankings. Maybe Wang is trying to keep him under the radar. With the big changes to the player pool this time around Think2wice is looking to be the undisputed king of top lane.
Ramanas – Well he's played games this month so he has that going for him.
Teh Bestest One – Bestest is going to do great in a solo lane and that versatility makes him a top pick in this draft.
Miciro – http://www.d20srd.org/extras/d20dicebag/
Thrifty Senpai – Drop the money on him and you'll win all of your mid lanes.
Mai Wang – If he is playing this season he'll be the 4th jungler that we desperately need. If not, things are going to get interesting.
Ajs Zero – Once again he's the Mario of the BCL. Good pick, good laner, good team leader.
M0rias – Quite possibly the best top laner in the league. Once again he's probably going to be undervalued because of his low solo queue rating.

Newish and Previously Undrafted Players
Typically the more unknown players have a huge impact on the league. These are the players that go for way lower than they really should. This time around our newcomers are a lot lower in solo queue rating, but it's still worth paying attention to where they end up going.
Swordandmace – He's back and he's winning games now. He's up to gold 4 when he was usually lower silver. Definitely get him if you need a Poppy on your team.
Tizzy226 – If you draft Master Splinter make sure you pick up Tizzy in a later round. Otherwise she's a solid choice for support, especially if Salvo or Thirty gets drafted in a role that isn't support.
Zaku13x -Probably the biggest unknown in this tournament. Hell, I don't even know what to think of him. I know he plays lots of support and some AD.
Opprim0 – Born Mexican and grew up in a rough neighborhood. Gave up being Mexican for Lent. Longs walks on the beach. Planes, trains and rain at lightspeed. Played League since season 2, still sucks. There are worse players than him. Survived the Eau Claire LoL tournament. Draft him because he's gold. He likes playing League.
Senkait – Plays Teemo, got choked out for it.
Devoutmilk – Poor black child from the swamps of Fon Du Lac. His sister dated former BCL players. Youngest child of a bunch of weird kids, so he had to become a pro gamer. Played sports, moved on to esports. Silver 3 because he queued with Wang (Big Mistake!). Every “real” champion is in his champion pool. Has potential as another jungle. Uses only good skins on sale.
